Greg McKean is currently in Hanoi for the last week of the BSMQ South-East Asia Migration and Investment Roadshow.
First stop on the roadshow was Indonesia, where BSMQ teamed up with Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) to host the first-ever Queensland migration seminar in Indonesia. The seminar attracted 35 participants from Jakarta’s business community and their migration agents. Queensland Trade and Investment Commissioner for Jakarta Ben Giles and his team are great supporters of BSMQ and we look forward to welcoming more Indonesian businesspeople to invest in Queensland through the government’s migration program.
Next up were 2 seminars in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which were undertaken with premier Malaysian advisory migration firms Global Migration, Kitson Migration and Sincerity Migration. All seminars were well attended, and Mr McKean met with large-scale companies in the areas of food and beverage, manufacturing, logistics and construction, which are interested in establishing businesses in Queensland.
Mr McKean then flew to Dalat and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam to take part in seminars and meetings with Landmark Investment. In Dalat, Mr McKean met with Vietnamese Agriculture Co-Op members and, as a result, some members are planning to visit Queensland shortly to look at investment opportunities.
BSMQ was also invited to present and promote migration and investment opportunities in Queensland at the Ho Chi Minh Business Association to 150 prominent businesspeople. Mr McKean was honoured to present alongside Mr My, the President, and Mr Nghia, the Vice President, of the Ho Chi Minh Business Association.
BSMQ Principal Project Officer Lin Han will continue migration and investment roadshows across China in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou and Shenzhen from 17–31 May.
