Registration of Interest

To be considered for Queensland nomination for a skilled or business visa, you will need to submit a Registration of Interest (ROI) on this website.

Before submitting your ROI, you must also submit your Expression of Interest (EOI) on the Australian Department of Home Affairs SkillSelect system.

Migration Queensland will consider the information included in both your Department of Home Affairs’ EOI and Queensland ROI when selecting candidates for nomination.

Interest in Queensland is strong. Nomination places are limited, so we encourage you to read the eligibility criteria carefully for your chosen visa before registering your interest.

If you do not meet the eligibility criteria, we will not be able to consider your ROI.

Skilled visa registrations

To register your interest in nomination for one of our skilled visa pathways, please use the forms below:

  • Skilled workers living in Queensland (onshore)
  • Skilled workers living outside Australia (offshore)

Important information for skilled visa ROIs

You can have only one ROI at a time, even if you have multiple skills assessments or multiple passports. If you submit multiple ROIs, only your most recent ROI will be considered.

Please choose one EOI, visa subclass and occupation for consideration.

If the information in your ROI has changed, please submit a new ROI with the updated details (e.g. your employment situation has changed). Only the most recent ROI will be used for selection. You do not need to inform Migration Queensland of a new ROI submission.

You do not need to submit a new EOI if you update your ROI.

Make sure your EOI is always up to date. Each selection round, your ROI data will be matched to your current EOI information.

If you are selected for invitation, you will be asked for evidence of the answers provided in your ROI. Providing false or misleading information may result in your application being closed.

If you are applying as an onshore skilled worker, your annualised earnings are one of several factors used to determine whether you will be selected and invited to apply for Queensland nomination. Before you submit your ROI, please use Calculating annual salary to correctly calculate your annualised earnings.

If your answers are not provided correctly, or if the answers do not match the data in your EOI, your ROI will be invalid and will not be considered for selection.

Once you submit your ROI, you can save a copy of your responses for your own record. Please click on the ‘Save my response’ button and log into your Microsoft account. A copy of your ROI response will be saved to your ‘Filled forms’ section.

To print the form (or save to PDF) once you have submitted your answers, click on the 3 dots in the top-right corner of the screen. Migration Queensland cannot provide you with a copy of your responses after you submit them.

If you no longer wish to seek Queensland nomination, you can withdraw your ROI by contacting Migration Queensland. Please tell us your EOI number and whether your ROI was onshore or offshore.
