Migration Queensland currently nominates applicants for skilled and business visa subclasses, listed below. Some visas have several pathways of entry, called “streams”.
State nomination for this visa is managed by the Queensland Government through Migration Queensland, in collaboration with the Department of Home Affairs.
Skilled visas
Migration Queensland nominates for two skilled visa subclasses, which are outlined below.
Skilled Nominated (Permanent) visa
(subclass 190)
This visa allows nominated skilled workers to live and work in Queensland as permanent residents.

Business Visas
Migration Queensland assesses permanent visa (subclass 888) nomination applications for applicants who hold a current provisional visa (subclass 188) and meet the relevant nomination criteria.
