Queensland Skilled Occupation Lists (QSOL)
Queensland Graduates and Skilled Workers in Queensland pathways
Migration Queensland will select candidates with occupations on Home Affairs list of eligible occupations (LIN 19/051), with a focus on helping address verified shortages in Queensland’s growing industries. These are:
- Energy
- Construction and infrastructure
- Healthcare and social assistance
- Education
- Professional services
- Agribusiness
- Tourism and hospitality
- Transport
See the pages below for the requirements for each nomination pathway:
Note:
Some occupations are not eligible for onshore invitation or nomination by Queensland for subclass 190 in the 2024-25 program year. Please see occupations not eligible for invitation for subclass 190 for more details.
Skilled Workers outside Australia pathway
Migration Queensland will be selecting candidates outside of Australia in occupations on the offshore Queensland Skilled Occupation List.
This list supports Queensland’s strongest skilled workforce needs, including:
- The transition to net zero and climate change adaptation.
- The delivery of more hospitals, upgraded schools, more housing and better transport under Queensland’s Big Build.
- Queensland’s increasing demand for health care.
See Skilled workers outside Australia for the requirements for this nomination pathway.
Small business owner pathway
Migration Queensland will select eligible candidates with an occupation on the LIN/051.
See Small business owners pathway for the requirements for this nomination pathway.
Australia and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO) and Assessing Authorities
ANZSCO is a system developed to collect, publish, and analyse occupation statistics across government agencies – including information for all visa, settlement, and citizenship programs.
Migration Queensland uses ANZSCO to assess whether applicants have the skills needed to undertake a specific occupation.
The relevant Assessing Authority for ANZSCO is listed against each occupation in the Legislative Instrument (LIN 19/051).
For more information, see List of Assessing Authorities and the Department of Home Affairs website.
