Jose Miguel Rivero Ruiz

From Caracas, Venezuela, Jose first moved to Queensland in 2016 to study English and has noticed how quickly Queensland is growing - creating a wide variety of opportunities for every career.

Since being nominated by Migration Queensland in 2022 for a Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190), Jose’s career in Queensland continues to grow. Jose is currently working on the Cross River Rail project in Brisbane, where he has recently been promoted to Project Engineer.

Jose’s tip for people considering Queensland as their next home is to come and enjoy the opportunities created by Queensland’s economic growth.
