2022-23 Program closed - Thank You

Migration Queensland closed the 2022-23 program on Friday 30 June 2023. Thank you to everyone who made this year a success!

We nominated more than 4300 applications under the State nominated skilled visa pathway this year. Each application is more than a number: it is a person choosing to call Queensland home, and contributing their skills and experience to this great State. If you are one of these people, we warmly welcome you to Queensland. If you are not a migrant, but played any role in this process - we thank you for making this incredible achievement possible. We look forward to continuing this collaborative success in the future.

2023 - 2024 program opening

The Department of Home Affairs has provided states and territories with reduced nomination allocations for the 2023 - 24 program year. Queensland's allocations this year is 1550 skilled nominations in total. Due to the reduced allocation, the criteria will focus on attracting highly skilled migrants to Queensland, and we are currently considering the timing of our program opening. We appreciate your patience while these items are finalised. Please see here for further information on our allocation.

For applicants who have received an invitation, paid their application fee and provided all documents by 5pm June 30 2023, and have not received a final decision, we will continue to assess the application but it will not be decided until our 2023 - 24 program opens. When we are ready to open the program, we will decide these applications in a timely manner. All other applications will be closed, and a new Expression of Interest (EOI) will need to be submitted once the new proogram opens.
