Find a migration agent
An Australian registered migration agent (RMA) or an Australian legal practitioner is qualified to guide you through the Queensland nomination process, help you understand the requirements, and get your paperwork right.
It is not compulsory to use either an RMA or a legal practitioner to assist you with your Queensland nomination application. However, they can provide valuable advice and support at each stage of the process.
Australian registered migration agents
An RMA must be registered with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA) to legally work in Australia. RMAs have a Migration Agent Registration Number, with the first two numbers indicating the year they were registered to work as an RMA.It is a good idea to do your research when searching for a suitable RMA. Recommendations through friends, family or other applicants can also be helpful.
Before you engage an RMA, either check they are registered in Australia or to search for a registered agent.
Australian legal practitioners
Australian legal practitioners (solicitors) are also able to assist with Queensland nomination applications and with the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) process. Visit the Queensland Law Society to find a Queensland legal practitioner.
