Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188)

The Australian Government announced from July 2024, the permanent closure of the Business Innovation and Investment Program.

No new applications for the Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) (subclass 188) visa can be lodged.

Applicants who do not wish to continue with their provisional visa (subclass 188) application can apply for a refund of their Visa Application Charge (VAC).

Migration Queensland will continue to assess permanent visa (subclass 888) nomination applications for applicants who hold a current provisional visa (subclass 188) and meet the relevant nomination criteria.
